Resisting The Spirit of
Antichrist
11/27/05
Jesus is the reason for the
season!
Jesus is the Savior of the
world!
Salvation only comes through
Jesus--there is no other way to the Father!
Jesus was born of a virgin,
lived 33 years without sin, died a horrible death, three days later was raised
to life and now lives in Heaven at the right side of God the Father and ever
lives to make intercession for you and for me!
Let’s pray
Satan hates Jesus. Remember
"The Passion of The Christ."
Remember the evil presence of the lady who lurked around with such a
evil look upon her face?
Lk. 22:1 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was
approaching, 2and the chief priests
and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for
they were afraid of the people. 3Then
Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. 4And Judas
went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed
with them how he might betray Jesus.
The sacredness of Easter has
been replaced with the Easter bunny!
The sacredness of Christmas
has been replaced with Santa Claus!
Xmas, what clever
deceit! The words happy
holidays...........Merry Christmas 13
letters/14 letters?
If we do not stand against
the attack of Christianity in this land we will eventually loose all of our
Christian rights!
Is it godly to not care? Is it godly to be passive? Is it godly to be apathetic? Is it OK that our Lord and Savior’s name to
slandered or at least removed from the public?
PepsiCo used an advertising
campaign based on the Madonna "Like a Prayer" video. Understandably, Bishop Gracida was upset
that PepsiCo had aired this commercial doing things that he said were “sacrilegious
on a church altar.”
Bishop Gracida got the attention of both PepsiCo and national
media with his Diocese-wide boycott of all of PepsiCo’s products, including
FritoLay.
PepsiCo’s vending machines were no longer welcomed in the
buildings of the Corpus Christi Diocese.
Bishop Gracida wrote to PepsiCo’s area distributor and asked him
to remove the machines, but didn't get a response.
So Bishop Gracida publicly
called for all Catholics in the Corpus Christi Diocese not to purchase any
PepsiCo products.
"Almost immediately” Bishop Gracida “got a call from the
Texas distributor, then the corporate office in New York called [him] and asked
what it would take to get [him] to call it off.” They pulled the commercial.
To quote Paul Harvey...
I don't believe in Santa
Claus, but I'm not going to sue
somebody for singing a
Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I
don't agree with Darwin, but
I didn't go out and hire a
lawyer when my high school
teacher taught his theory
of evolution.
Life, liberty or your pursuit
of happiness will not be
endangered because someone
says a 30-second prayer
before a football game.
So what's the big deal? It's
not like somebody is up there
reading the entire book of
Acts. They're just talking to a
God they believe in and
asking him to grant safety to the
players on the field and the
fans going home from the game.
"But it's a Christian
prayer," some will argue.
Yes, and this is the United
States of America, a country
founded on Christian
principles. According to our very
own phone book, Christian
churches outnumber all others
better than 200-to-1. So what
would you expect-somebody
chanting Hare Krishna?
If I went to a football game
in Jerusalem,
I would expect to hear a
Jewish prayer.
If I went to a soccer game in
Baghdad,
I would expect to hear a
Muslim prayer.
If I went to a ping pong
match in China,
I would expect to hear
someone pray to Buddha.
"But what about the atheists?" is another argument.
What about them?
Nobody is asking them to be
baptized. We're not going to
pass the collection plate.
Just humor us for 30 seconds. If
that's asking too much, bring
a Walkman or a pair of ear
plugs. Go to the bathroom.
Visit the concession stand.
Call your lawyer!
Unfortunately, one or two
will make that call. One or
two will tell thousands what
they can and cannot do.
I don't think a short prayer
at a football game is
going to shake the world's
foundations.
Christians are just sick and
tired of turning the other
cheek while our courts strip
us of all our rights. Our
parents and grandparents
taught us to pray before
eating; to pray before we go
to sleep.
Our Bible tells us to pray
without ceasing. Now a
handful of people and their
lawyers are telling us
to cease praying.
God, help us.
And if that last sentence
offends you,
well . just sue me.
The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we
let that one or two who
scream loud enough to be heard
.... that the vast majority don't care what they want. It
is time the majority rules!
It's time we tell them, you don't
have to pray; you don't have
to say the pledge of allegiance;
you don't have to believe in
God or attend services that
honor Him. That is your
right, and we will honor your
right. But by golly, you are
no longer going to take our
rights away.
God bless us one and all ..
God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still
the greatest nation of all.
God bless our service men who
are fighting to protect
our right to pray and worship
God.
May 2005 be the year the
silent majority is heard
and we put God back as the
foundation of our
families and institutions.
Keep looking up.
This coming Thursday
(December 1) will mark 50 years that a 42
year old lady from Montgomery, Ala. by the name of Rosa Parks took a stand
against injustice. Rosa Parks, a black seamstress refused to relinquish her
seat to a white man on a city bus in Montgomery. For her act of defiance, Mrs. Parks was arrested, convicted of
violating the segregation laws and fined $10, plus $4 in court fees. In
response, blacks in Montgomery boycotted the buses for nearly 13 months while
mounting a successful Supreme Court challenge to the Jim Crow law that enforced
their second-class status on the public bus system. The events that began on that bus in the winter of 1955
captivated the nation and transformed a 26-year-old preacher named Martin Luther
King Jr. into a major civil rights leader. It was Dr. King, the new
pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, who was drafted to
head the Montgomery Improvement Association, the organization formed to direct
the civil rights struggle. She was born February 4, 1913 and passed away
October 24, 2005.
In case we get tired and
think it's too much bother....
Jer. 12:1 You are always righteous, O LORD,
when I bring a case before you.
Yet I would speak with you about your justice:
Why does the way of the wicked prosper?
Why do all the faithless live at ease?
2 You have
planted them, and they have taken root;
they grow and bear fruit.
You are always on their lips
but far from their hearts.
3 Yet you
know me, O LORD;
you see me and test my thoughts about you.
Drag them off like sheep to be butchered!
Set them apart for the day of slaughter!
4 How long
will the land lie parched
and the grass in every field be withered?
Because those who live in it are wicked,
the animals and birds have perished.
Moreover, the people are saying,
“He will not see what happens to us.”
5 “If
you have raced with men on foot
and they have worn you out,
how can you compete with horses?
If you stumble in safe country,
how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?
People, if we fail to see the
big picture, we are blind!
I’m not a religious fanatic,
I’m not one to twist scripture or ignore scripture. It is the cry of my heart to know the truth and teach the truth.
1 Jo. 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the
spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone
out into the world. 2This is how
you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus
Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that
does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the
antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in
the world.
2 Thess. 2:1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our
being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, 2not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy,
report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord
has already come. 3Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that
day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is
revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that
is called God or is worshiped, so that
he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
5Don’t you remember that when I was with
you I used to tell you these things? 6And now you know what is holding him back,
so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but
the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of
the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom
the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the
splendor of his coming. 9The coming of the lawless one will be in
accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit
miracles, signs and wonders, 10and in every sort of evil that deceives
those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and
so be saved. 11For this reason God sends them a powerful
delusion so that they will believe the lie 12and so that
all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in
wickedness.
Rev. 13:1 And I
saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten
crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. 2The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a
bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and
his throne and great authority. 3One of the heads of the beast seemed to
have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world
was astonished and followed the beast. 4Men worshiped the dragon because he had
given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who
is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”
5The beast was given a mouth to utter proud
words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. 6He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and
his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer
them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
8All inhabitants of the earth will worship
the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging
to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.
9
He who has an ear, let
him hear.
10 If
anyone is to go into captivity,
into captivity he will go.
If anyone is to be killed with the sword,
with the sword
he will be killed.
This
calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.
11Then I saw another beast, coming out of
the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. 12He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf,
and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal
wound had been healed. 13And he performed great and miraculous signs,
even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. 14Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the
first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set
up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15He
was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it
could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and
slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is
the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18This calls for wisdom. If anyone has
insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His
number is 666.
I’m calling for us to
unify. I’m asking that we collectively
boycott four department stores that have
taken out of their advertisement the mention of Christmas because the word
itself is based on Christ and what Christmas is really about.
The boycott starts tomorrow
and runs through December 26.
These are not the only stores
refusing to use the word Christmas.
They are four of the largest--others will certainly take notice.

Local stores and their
managers...
Wal Mart--Terrie
Target--Kevin
Kohls--David
Sears--Mike
The problem is not at the
local level! It's at the corporate
level!
The reason for the boycott is
because of the advertisements on TV, radio and circulars.
They are refusing to use the
Word Christ or anything associated with it.......Christmas.
Their reasoning--it offends
some people. In so doing, they have
greatly offended millions who hold to the fact that there would not be
Christmas if is wasn’t for Jesus Christ!
If you work at one of these
stores please don’t do anything to jeopardize your job!
Please do these three
things...
1. Write the C.E.O.’s of these companies
2. Call the local managers.
Be very respectful.
Let them know it is not their fault.
Urge them to let their corporate executives know what the
public thinks of what they are doing.
Be specific with the complaint--corporate level advertisements.
If they become frustrated, their frustration will be passed to
a higher level.
Be sure and say that the boycott runs through December 26.
3. Call your local officials and thank them for allowing nativity
scenes in the community.
In Herrin, Mayor Ritter is
very positive about public nativity scenes.
In Marion, Mayor Butler is
also very positive about manger scenes.
And now, let’s bring it
really home. Have we, as Christians,
allowed materialism and the “holiday” of Christmas to water down the Lordship
of Jesus in our home?
